Under the proposal, the Bay Area would be part of the state of Silicon Valley. The other five states would be: Jefferson, Northern California, Central California, West California and South California.
Tech investor, Tim Draper, believes the state is under-represented in Washington. He's looking to get an initiative on the California ballot.
