Police investigating fatal shooting in East Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif.

The Oakland Tribune is reporting the shooting victim died at 1 a.m. Saturday.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2300 block of 96th Avenue at about 11:10 p.m., Officer J. Moore said.

When officers arrived they found a victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Moore said.

Neighbors reported hearing about 20 gunshots.

No suspect information was immediately available and no arrests have been made.

A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Police continue to investigate the shooting.
