More problems for Foster Farms chicken plant

For the second time in less than a week, Foster Farms has suspended operations at a Central Valley chicken plant because of cockroaches.

The company closed the plant Sunday, one day after reopening the facility in Livingston. It was first shut down last Wednesday, after a cockroach infestation raised concerns about food safety.

The company says the closure should last only a few days.

Production is being temporarily shifted to other Central Valley plants owned by Foster Farms.
