University students are back in classes at Bay Area schools and health officials are doing all they can to keep them from getting the flu.

At California State University East Bay in Hayward, students who go to the health center are getting a cold and flu care packet.

It comes with soup and tea packets, hand wipes, Kleenex and a thermometer.

The school is holding flu clinics as well and health workers even went to the dorms to offer vaccines.

UC Berkeley is also offering flu shots to every student coming back to campus for the spring semester.
