To celebrate its grand opening, the store gave away a $1,000 gift card Thursday morning. Thirty shoppers also walked away with $100 gift cards.
The store is known for designer brands at discount prices.
The city has another Nordstrom Rack at 9th and Brannan streets.
The new location is one of 11 new stores opening this year.
