Nearly a dozen students spent the afternoon making sandwiches of their own creation.
They were finalists in the San Jose Future Chefs Challenge and part of Michelle Obama's Let's Move Initiative.
The sandwiches were judged on healthiness and how easy it is for a kid to make the meal.
The winner was Jayden Amys from Canoas Elementary School.
Her creation was a Magical Peanut Butter and Fruit Sandwich.
