Saturday's featured speaker was former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. She said California needs to be rebuilt.
"Around these principles of individual responsibility and liberty, of private sector-led growth, of a private space that is respected by the government and in which we respect the choices of each other," she said. "This is the California that must be."
The GOP is struggling to increase its ranks in California.
Republicans hold no statewide offices, and have seen membership slip to just more than 28 percent of the electorate.
This weekend's theme is "Rebuild, Renew, Reclaim."
