3.0 earthquake strikes in San Jose, United States Geological Survey says

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- A preliminary magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck near the Seven Trees neighborhood of San Jose on Wednesday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake happened at 2:34 p.m.

So far, there have no reports of any major damage or injuries.

On Oct. 25, a 5.1 quake hit San Jose, the Bay Area's largest in eight years.
