Berkeley police search for man accused of sexually assaulting Cal student near People's Park

BERKELEY, Calif. -- Berkeley police are looking the man who sexually assaulted a Cal student on Haste Street near People's Park.

Authorities say the woman was walking on the sidewalk around 9:20 p.m. Thursday, when she was grabbed from behind, and pushed to the ground, then sexually assaulted.

The suspect is described as a male in his mid-20s, five feet nine inches tall, with curly hair and a beard.
