BERKELEY, Calif. -- A 24-year-old man was arrested last week in Tennessee after police at the University of California at Berkeley identified him as the suspect in a 2011 sexual assault and robbery case.

After developing new leads in the case, investigators identified Sheldon Harley Johnson as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest, according to police.

Johnson has been linked to an incident on April 8, 2011, in which a female UC Berkeley student was robbed and sexually assaulted on campus, near Haviland Path, police said.

With assistance from the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, the U.S. Marshall's Service and the FBI, police located Johnson in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

On March 19, police there arrested Johnson and he is currently waiting to be extradited back to California, according to police.
