The pop star announced the baby news in Queen Bey fashion on Instagram Wednesday, nearly breaking the internet.
The photo shows Beyonce wearing a vail over her head in just a bra and underwear, holding her baby bump with the caption:
"We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes."
As of Thursday morning, the photo has received almost 8 million likes and 386,812 comments. Within 15 minutes of the announcement, there were over 17,000 Tweets being sent per minute. Within 45 minutes there were more than half a million Tweets about the surprise news.
"Twins", "Beyonce", "Blue", and "Beyhive" were all been trending.

This was, of course, was the perfect opportunity for people on social media to provide a little humor about the announcement. Even some brands got in on it.
Popeyes Chicken tweeted, "She has TWO biscuits in the oven? We've got a lifetime membership to Popeyes for both of them! #twins #pregnant #babybump."
JCPenney jumped in to defend the Instagram post when someone on Twitter said that it looked like something from a JCPenney photo studio.
"Time for us to go...to the left, to the left. We (heart) Bey, we (heart) the hive, we (heart) you all. Keep the love on top.

I feel like I'm more excited for Beyoncé to be pregnant than I will be for my own child.

Me: BEYONCÉ IS PREGNANT WITH TWINS pic.twitter.com/gtMtb9Jbgm
And as I finished a long day of celebrating Beyoncé's pregnancy, I wondered, will anyone out there ever love me the way I love Beyoncé? Xoxo pic.twitter.com/5lqOD0QmVK

There's no word on what the power couple will name the twins, but there's a website called "Bey Bey Name" that could provide some ideas.
It's a name generator that creates a name based on Beyonce's daughter's name, Blue Ivy. The first name is a color and the middle name is some sort of plant or flower.
Coral Daisy, Fushia Aloe, Green Jasmine and Copper Hibiscus are just a few options.
What are some good suggestions for the twins' names? Comment on the ABC13 Facebook page.
