Amazon expects record breaking sales for Cyber Monday

Amazon Fulfillment Center in Tracy bustling for Cyber Monday

The holiday shopping spree isn't over. In fact, it's just beginning. Today is Cyber Monday and one of the biggest retailers offering deals online is Amazon.

TRACY, Calif. (KGO) -- The Amazon facility in Tracy was buzzing with Cyber Monday deals this morning as the company braced for a record breaking day.

Adobe Digital Industries is expecting a 16.5 percent in online sales today compared to last year's Cyber Monday.

Amazon says it is prepared to handle 740 items ordered per second today. The company says many orders will go from receiving to shipping by the time you can sing The Twelve Days of Christmas.

When ABC7 News asked employees if today is overwhelming or exhausting they said no it is exciting.
