Pony Express gallops on Google Doodle

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (KGO) -- Tuesday's Google Doodle is honoring an important day in history. It's a cartoon of the Wild West celebrating the 155th anniversary of the Pony Express.

The first letter was delivered on April 14,1860. That's long before email. Back then, the Pony Express was the fastest delivery game in town.

The service ran between Sacramento and St. Joseph, Missouri and took 10 days to deliver a letter.

The Pony Express Google Doodle also includes a fun game.
