Report: Facebook failing to increase diversity in its workforce
Facebook has vowed to make its workforce more diverse, but according to its own research, it's making almost no progress.

MENLO PARK, Calif. (KGO) -- Facebook has vowed to make its workforce more diverse, but according to its own research, it's making almost no progress.

The Menlo Park-based social media giant began tracking its workplace diversity in 2014 and, for the third year in a row, the numbers remained the same.

African-Americans make up just two percent of Facebook's total workforce across the U.S. Hispanics account for four percent.

Those percentages are even less in Facebook's tech sector specifically. There, African-Americans account for just one percent of workers and Hispanics account for three percent.

People of Asian descent represent 38 percent of the tech workforce.
