Salesforce to announce "historic investment" in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Salesforce is preparing to make a major announcement in downtown San Francisco this morning.

Mayor Ed Lee and House minority leader Nancy Pelosi are expected to attend. Salesforce just celebrated its 15th anniversary last month. Lee is describing today's announcement as an "historic investment" in the city.

There has been speculation Salesforce could be in talks to take over parts of the new Transbay Center under construction next to the company's headquarters.
