Caltrain raised the cost of some tickets. A one-way ticket increased 25 cents and a Day Pass now costs 50 cents more.

There is no fare increase if you use a Clipper card. The move is aimed to encourage riders to use the Clipper card.

The agency also will adjust its timetable to accommodate the replacement of four aging rail bridges in San Mateo. That project is set to begin later this year.

Caltrain says the changes are an effort to better adapt to growing ridership.
