SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KGO) -- Activists plan to protest the handling of the Andy Lopez shooting during the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors meeting in Santa Rosa Tuesday afternoon.

The 13-year-old died after being shot by Deputy Erick Gelhaus last October.

Investigators say the teen was carrying a toy rifle designed to look like an AK-47.

The Justice Coalition for Andy Lopez accuses the district attorney of mishandling the case after deciding against any charges for Gelhaus and eventually returning him to duty.
