7 On Your Side: It's now easier to credit report and score

There's now an easy way to get your free credit report and the most used FICO score, together.

On Monday, 7 On Your Side aired a report about how to get a free credit report and FICO score through the website freecreditreport.com

Many people contacted 7 On Your Side to say the site asks for a credit card number and a trial membership before giving out the score.

Seven On Your Side contacted Experian, which owns the site, and it suggested viewers go to its sister site, freecreditscore.com where you do get a free credit score along with the report.

However, 7 On Your Side also found that if you have already registered at freecreditreport.com, then freecreditscore.com will not give you the score without a trial membership.

Seven On Your Side reached out to Experian for an explanation and it said it would get back to us as soon as it researched the issue.
