7 vehicle accident blocks lanes of SB I-680 in Danville

DANVILLE, Calif -- All southbound lanes are open on Interstate Highway 680 in Walnut Creek after a multi-vehicle collision closed three lanes this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The first report of the collision involving several vehicles on I-680 just south of state Highway 24 came in shortly after 5:50 a.m., CHP officials said.

The CHP issued a Sig-alert at 6:09 a.m. and the alert was canceled at 6:59 a.m.
