Proposed bill calls for DMV to develop digital driver's license

Someday, when you get pulled over for speeding, the officer will ask you for your license and you'll pull out your smartphone.

A bill in Sacramento calls on the DMV to develop a digital driver's license and an app to go with it.

Security and privacy would be built into it and you could still get a traditional hard copy of your license.
