1,000 Bay Area kids visit Tech Museum

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- A thousand kids got a special field trip to San Jose's Tech Museum in San Jose Wednesday.

The visit was financed by a Google grant that gave children from some of the Bay Area's low income schools a special opportunity for hands-on learning.

They toured many of the interactive displays and got to build roller-coasters.

The museum says it's glad it has a chance to add to their education. Teachers at the schools were thrilled Google stepped in to help finance the trip.
