SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Santa Clara County is facing a lawsuit over a science camp employee who's accused of molesting a child and possessing and producing child pornography.

Additional charges were filed against 27-year-old Edgar Covarrubias on Wednesday.

The lawsuit filed Thursday against the Santa Clara County Office of Education is on behalf of children who may have been molested at the Walden West Camp.

"The parents that we represent are angry and devastated. They see to hold the county responsible and accountable for the harm," attorney Nina Shapirshteyn said.

The Senate Judiciary Chairman has sent a letter to Homeland Security, calling for an investigation into whether Covarrubias was scheduled to be deported in 2012 but was granted illegal immigrant amnesty.
