South Bay middle schoolers win Department of Energy National Science Bowl

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- A group of South Bay middle school students is celebrating a prestigious honor.

Students from San Jose's Joaquin Miller Middle School were named winners of the middle school division of this year's Department of Energy National Science Bowl.

They beat out 15 other finalists to win $1,000 for the school's science department.
