Emergency crews respond to multi-car accident in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Emergency crews rescued a person who got trapped inside a car involved in a multi-car accident in San Francisco's Japantown Thursday night.

The accident prompted officials to close Geary Boulevard at Steiner Street at 10:15 p.m.

Police are investigating it as a hit-and-run.

The street closure will remain in place while officers investigate the incident.
