It's time to get into the Aloha spirit with food and dance in San Francisco.
Aloha Poly Fest
You'll find delicious food, plenty of vendors and 11 different groups performing at the 2016 Aloha Poly Fest. The islands of Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji and Tahiti are all represented.
ABC7 News met up with just one of the dancing groups. Tifa i Moana, which is dedicated to bringing Samoan culture to the Bay Area. "We're excited to showcase our culture through our dancing, so people in the audience get a taste of Polynesia," said Showtime AJ. "People don't get a chance to go to Hawaii, or Samoa, or Tonga, or Fiji, so we want to bring a taste of the island flavor to them."
The free event is organized by Charles Hamer. It will be at the San Francisco County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park this Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is also free and there will be arts and crafts for kids.
