Bay Area father, son turn field into 'Star Wars' tribute
This Livermore field has such a large "Star Wars" tribute, you'll need an X-wing starfighter to get a good look.

LIVERMORE, Calif. (KGO) -- "Star Wars" fans are going to appreciate this amazing view, best enjoyed from flying high up in the air.

Sky7 was in Livermore on Wednesday, where an 11-year-old boy and his father plowed a field near their home to create a Rebel Alliance Insignia design.

It's carved into 7 acres of Will and Mark Mullen's backyard.

How'd they do it? Will says he did most of the tractor driving. He worked with his dad to carve out the shape with help from GPS coordinates and metal stakes to plot out the shape.

Will says any passing X-wings are welcome to enjoy the view.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" comes out on Friday.
