SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- We've partnered with the team at Hoodline - the hyperlocal neighborhood website to find weekend activities in and around the Bay Area.

St. Patrick's Day events in San Francisco

St. Patrick's Day is Friday, March 16, 2017 and if you're looking for something fun to do, we've got you covered.

The annual LeprCon Pub Crawl is happening and as luck would have it this year, there's two.

Crawl SF is organizing a crawl through Polk Street Friday and Saturday.

Last year, 2,000 people participated wearing their best leprechaun outfits.

The Irish are known for their beer and tickets to the event will get you $3 beers or cocktails.

There will be live bands and DJ's playing at various bars.

If you buy the tickets online, use the promo code "Hoodline" and you'll get a discount.

Another St. Patrick's Day event will be held at Pier 39 Friday night. That event will have drink specials at participating businesses. Plus, there will be a special performance on the carousel stage from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Live music will be provided by a local Irish band called: "The shots."

Green is the theme this weekend, but if you don't like Irish food, how about avocados instead?

Spark SF to host avocado food festival

Spark SF is hosting the first ever avocado food festival where an assortment of food trucks will be offering avocado dishes. There will be avocado ice cream, macaroon sandwiches, avocado green curry, and a holy guacamole burger on the menu.

The festival will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 601 Mission Bay Boulevard North in San Francisco.

MORE TO DO: Enjoy the weekend, and don't forget to check out Hoodline's events calendar for more ideas.
