Jon Favreau announces upcoming reimagining of 'The Lion King'

This morning everything the light touches is our kingdom. Why? Because Jon Favreau has just announced that his next project is going to be The Lion King! The project follows the technologically groundbreaking reimagining of The Jungle Book, which Favreau directed to great acclaim earlier this year. Here's the announce:

We know you're wondering so we'll tell you: Yes! The new film will include songs from the original film!

1. YESSSSSSS.

2. Baby Simba is going to be so cute.

3. Will any of the voice actors from the original reprise their roles?

4. It's gonna be epic.

5. Must rewatch the original immediately.

No release date for the film has been announced yet, but keep your eyes on this space to updates when ... it is time.
