OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Tens of thousands of people celebrated the fifth annual Oakland Pride festival.
For the first time, a colorful parade through Oakland's Uptown neighborhood headlined the event.
Mayor Jean Quan was among many special guests.
People lined the streets, cheering, showing their support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.
The festival also featured famous entertainers, including drummer and singer Sheila E.
