Trebek to break record for most game show episodes hosted

Tonight on Jeopardy, on ABC7 at 7 p.m., Alex Trebek will set the record for most game show episodes hosted by the same person.

Friday is Trebek's 6,829th episode hosting Jeopardy. He started when the show returned to television in 1984.

Trebek is 73-years-old and while he admits to thinking about retirement, he says he's not planning on it anytime soon.

Trebek first got in front of a camera in 1961 as a journalist with the CBC and hosted six game shows before landing his current gig on Jeopardy.
