The sight of an infant on a plane is enough to scare even the most seasoned traveler. Will the baby sleep through the entire flight or will it be an hours-long temper tantrum at 30,000 feet? One set of parents knew that flying with their 1-year-old daughter might not be the best experience for other passengers, so they came prepared with goody bags to hand out complete with candy, and more importantly, earplugs.

"Hi Stranger! My name is Madeline. I will be 1 on December 17th and this is my first flight," a note in the bag read. "I'll try to be on my best behavior, but I'd like to apologize in advance if I lose my cool, get scared or my ears hurt. My mom and dad packed you this goody bag with a few treats. There are also earplugs in case my first public serenade isn't as enjoyable to you as it is to my mom and dad. Have a great flight!"

Danaus Chang, a business traveler on the flight, posted a photo of the goody bag to Reddit with the caption, "A baby just handed me this on my flight. I ain't mad."

The post has received thousands of comments, many of which compliment the parents for getting out in front of what could have been a disastrous flight.
