SFPD officer who fatally shot Bayview carjacking suspect identified
San Francisco police officials released the name of the officer behind the fatal shooting of Bayview carjacking suspect Keita O'Neil.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco police officials released the name of the officer behind the fatal shooting of Bayview carjacking suspect Keita O'Neil.

The department says Christopher Samayoa shot and killed O'Neil when the suspect jumped out of a van and ran past the police car.

The suspect did not have a gun.

Samayoa had just graduated from the police academy three days earlier.
