LEJEUNE, NC (KGO) -- History was made in the U.S. Marine Corps Thursday as the first women to fill regular infantry jobs reported for duty in camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

It's a landmark move in the integration of women into military combat roles.

They will serve in the First Batallion, 8th Marine Regiment with specializations working with rifles, machine guns and mortars.
