Park Fire burning near Morgan Hill now 70% contained, CAL FIRE says
A brush fire east of Morgan Hill has burned 343 acres and prompted evacuations overnight in the Finley Ridge area of Santa Clara County.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- A brush fire east of Morgan Hill has burned 343 acres and prompted evacuations overnight in the Finley Ridge area of Santa Clara County.

The fire is 70 percent contained and evacuations have been lifted as of 6:50 p.m., according to CAL FIRE.

Forward progress stopped around 10:30 a.m.

Evacuations are underway on Finley Ridge Road. CAL FIRE said about 80 people have been evacuated and 20 people are sheltering in place.

The fire threatened 25 homes, but none were damaged, officials said.

Several outbuilding were damaged, they said.

East Dunne Road, before Anderson Lake, is closed because of the fire.

The "Park Fire," as CAL FIRE is calling it, began around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Officials have not determined a cause of the fire.

Crews will remain on site handling hot spots and "strengthening" containment lines, CAL FIRE said.
