The fire is no longer spreading and crews are currently working to contain hot spots.

The fire is burning near San Felipe Road and Heartland behind the California Oak Creek neighborhood.

No injuries have been reported and Cal Fire said that no homes are in danger.

"Firefighters are trying to prevent the fire from spotting over and actually engaging in any further acreage. So it's steep, it's hot, and firefighters are out there working as hard as they can," Assistant Chief George Huang of Cal Fire Santa Clara Unit.

Huang wants to remind homeowners to do their part to take care of vegetation around their home to help protect against any brush fires before they ever start.

The cause is still under investigation.
