SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A case of mistaken identity has a San Francisco restaurant facing numerous misplaced complaints.

The confusion stems from a policy at the Old Fisherman's Grotto restaurant in Monterey. They posted signs prohibiting strollers, high chairs and children from making noise in the dining room.

The iconic Number 9 Fisherman's Grotto at San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf is getting angry emails and phone calls from people confusing the two restaurants.

The San Francisco restaurant says it welcomes children with open arms, while the owner of the Monterey restaurant isn't making any apologies and says the policy has been in place for two years and has not hurt his business.
