OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- The 2015 NBA champion Golden State Warriors were celebrated at a victory parade and rally in Oakland on Friday.

It was a Dub Nation celebration worthy of a 40 year wait, with nearly 1 million people creating a sea of blue and yellow lining the edges of Lake Merritt.

Finals MVP Andre Iguodala gave credit to a loyal fan base saying: "Best fans in the league, ya'll deserve this, enjoy yourselves, be safe."

And Draymond Green known as the heart of the Warriors showered the crowd with affection and champagne. He is a fan favorite known for smack talking and Warriors Coach Steve Kerr was the target of his jokes. "From the start of training camp he hated me, that's no lie. He probably still hates me, that's no lie, but we go keep winning these championships and that's no lie," he said.
