OAKLAND (KGO) -- An employee at the Alameda Coroner's office in Oakland was taken to the hospital today after having a reaction to a decomposing body that was brought in for examining.
The employee, and 14 others, had a bad reaction when they opened the body bag just before lunch time at the office on Fourth Street near Jack London Square.
Emergency crews evacuated the building and brought in a hazmat crew to investigate after people in the building reported burning eyes and throats.
None of the injuries was serious.
