SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KGO) -- A patient at a Northern California hospital may have been exposed to the deadly Ebola virus.

The patient is being treated at Kaiser Permanente's South Sacramento Medical Center.

The CDC will conduct tests to confirm whether the patient actually has the virus.

The patient has been isolated, as a precaution.

The hospital says this will protect other patients from possible exposure.
