SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Nearly 50 San Jose students got free eyeglasses on Thursday.

San Jose Sharks players and the team's mascot "Sharkie" were on hand to present the glasses.

The group Vision to Learn helps kids in low income communities and minorities get the eyewear they need. The group says it has helped more than 1.5 million children nationwide.

The Sharks, Kaiser, and San Jose schools all helped make it possible.
