SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KGO) -- Relief could be coming if you're tired of struggling with the commute between the South Bay and San Francisco.
A public meeting is happening on Thursday to help ease traffic along Highway 101.
Caltrans and officials from transportation agencies in San Mateo County are getting tougher with getting together with the public to talk about the 101 Managed Lanes Project.
Basically, they want to improve travel time.
There are a few things on the table, including a combination of changing existing HOV to express lanes so solo drivers can pay to use it and adding new express lanes on Highway 101 between Whipple Road to I-380.
Also, existing auxiliary lanes could possibly be removed or replaced, ramp connections could be changed and electronic tolls could be installed.
