LIVERMORE, Calif. -- At least one person was killed in a traffic collision on Interstate Highway 580 Saturday morning in Livermore, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was reported at 5:54 a.m. on eastbound Highway 580 at Vasco Road.
Officials from the Alameda County coroner's bureau had been called to the scene by 6:30 a.m., according to the CHP.
The crash involved at least three vehicles, though it was not immediately clear this morning whether any other injuries had occurred.
A Sig-alert was issued at 6:17 a.m. due to multiple lanes being blocked by the crash. The Sig-alert was cancelled at 8:40 a.m.
