All lanes of SB I-280 reopen in San Francisco

Distraught man leads to closure of I-280 in SF
I-280 in San Francisco has reopened after a distraught man was brought into custody.

SAN FRANCISCO -- A person poised over Interstate Highway 280 in San Francisco is now safely in custody this morning and all southbound lanes of the highway are open as of 5:24 a.m., California Highway Patrol officials said.



CHP received the first call at 11:01 p.m. Monday of a person running in traffic and closed I-280 at State Highway 101 at about 11:30 p.m.



CHP brought in negotiators with the San Francisco Police Department to speak with the distraught person.
