PETALUMA, Calif. (KGO) -- Sheriff's deputies in Sonoma continue to investigate an alleged kidnapping that happened in the Roseland Area, outside Santa Rosa.

The woman said she was held and sexually abused for three weeks.

Deputies Thursday searched a home along the 3500 block of Stony Point Road after a woman said she was held and sexually abused for three weeks.

A 22-year-old woman told investigators she was kidnapped at gunpoint, then held captive for three weeks, beaten and sexually abused in an outbuilding on this compound.

Officials say she escaped Wednesday after discovering an unlocked door.

"The victim had some injuries that were consistent with sexual assault," said Sonoma County Sheriff's Sgt. Cecile Focha

The Sonoma County Sheriff's office served a search warrant yesterday.

"When the deputies arrived there, they found the residents and some information that the victim had been there and they collected evidence at that time," Focha said.

Sgt. Cecile Focha says several people were detained, but no one has been charged with kidnapping or sexual assault.

Irma Barcena, who's mother lives at the compound, dismissed the victim's claims.

In Spanish she told ABC7 News that too many people were around for the victim to remain against her will.

A man owns a trailer that sits on the property. He went by Sunday morning.

"I just saw a bunch of guys in there, I just wasn't expecting this happening there," Miguel Ruiz, a neighbor, said.

Investigators interviewed the victim again and a rape crisis counseling team offered their assistance.

"We have advocates from Verity working with her now, supporting her and they're with her at every moment,"

For now, neighbors along this rural stretch of Sonoma remain nervous about what allegedly took place steps from their front door.

"Too scary, it's too close to home," said one residet.

She just grateful the young woman was strong enough to get away.
