OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- People howled at a vigil at Lake Merritt to honor the lives lost while many are using their voices to call on community leaders to step up in the aftermath of the deadly fire at the Ghost Ship warehouse in Oakland.

The community came together at Lake Merritt in Oakland to mourn the 36 victims who perished when the building went up in flames Friday night.
