SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The Bay Area saw significant storm impacts as an atmospheric river brought heavy rain, urban and river flooding, and strong winds to the region.

Rain is spreading across the Bay Area Thursday with afternoon thunderstorms and flooding possible as strong winds will bring chances of downed trees.

Landslide pushes empty house into Russian River in Forestville

A home fell into the Russian River Tuesday afternoon after a landslide in Forestville, forcing several to evacuate their homes, according to authorities.

The sheriff's office says the home was not occupied and nobody was injured in this landslide.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for parts of North Bay

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for San Rafael, Mill Valley and San Anselmo until 2:15 p.m.

Officials say the storm will contain wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour.

SFO travel delays due to storm

The storm is impacting flights at San Francisco International Airport on Tuesday.

As of 12:15 p.m., there is a ground delay of an average 33 minutes due to the wind, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

There is an average of 15+ minute delay for departures, and is growing also due to the wind.

Flooding shuts down Highway 1 near Point Reyes Station

Flooding on Highway 1 near Point Reyes Station has shut down the road, CHP says.

Flooding along Highway 1 near Point Reyes Station has shut down the road, CHP says.

It's shut down between Bear Valley Road and Point Reyes Station, and CHP says to use an alternate route.

There is no estimated time for it reopening.

Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Point Reyes Station is also closed from Highway 1 to Bear Valley Road due to flooding.
