Frequent Lyft users will soon start receiving loyalty rewards

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KGO) -- People who use Lyft on a regular basis are about to get rewarded.

The San Francisco based ride-hailing company will unveil its first-ever Lyft Rewards loyalty program in the coming weeks. It works like a frequent flyer program, every time you use the Lyft app, you'll earn points for every dollar you spend.

Once you earn enough points, you'll unlock new benefits, like discounts, and upgraded rides.
