SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Children are back playing at a Dolores Park sandbox.

The play area had been closed since mid-February after vandals smashed beer bottles and left shattered glass in the sand.

City crews had to remove all the sand and block-off the sandbox.

But it reopened on Monday thanks to a Mexican company that donated 20 tons of new sand.

CEMEX has supplied building materials to the Bay Bridge and the Transbay Terminal construction.
