Crews find missing hiker on Mt. Hamilton

MOUNT HAMILTON, Calif. (KGO) -- A woman who was missing for 12 hours on Mount Hamilton has been found.

Santa Clara County Sheriff's deputies coordinated efforts to find 61-year-old Christina Puckett early Thursday morning.

Deputies say she was hiking with her husband and got ahead of him. He looked for her until about 2:30 a.m., before reporting her missing.

The couple was hiking in a section of Joseph D. Grant County Park that is not open to the public.

Officials said Puckett did everything right. She stayed put, so they were able to find her in the vicinity she was last seen.
