LOS ANGELES (KGO) -- In the midst of the state's drought, records show someone in Los Angeles is using a record amount of water.

According to the investigative reporting site Reveal, one household in the Bel Air neighborhood consumed 11.8 million gallons of water in one year and it cost them $90,000.

The website also says that while Los Angeles had the highest number of water wasters, the East Bay's right up there. A hundred households in each area used more than a million gallons of water.
